Ink and Fountain Pens
Sketching in ink is my favorite!
This is a collection of notes/items related to fountain pens and inks.
Pens I Like
Kaweco Sport
The brass pen version is lovely but more expensive, the plastic ones also perform well.
The nibs are very consistent, though I prefer fine detail work with a different pen brand. The F and M nib sizes are nice with the Kaweco.
You can either get cartridges or a refillable converter.
Pilot Kakuno
The EF nib is my favorite, it’s one of the most consistent fine lines I’ve seen.

Inks I Like
This ink is extremely waterproof and doesn’t bleed with watercolor, gouache, or alcohol markers. It’s my favorite.
The Platinum Pigment Brun Sepia is also very nice and doesn’t bleed with watercolor, gouache, or alcohol markers.
This ink isn’t encouraged for fountain pens but I’ve been using it without issue. I just need to clean my pens a bit more often.
These inks aren’t waterproof but flow very nicely and come in a variety of colors. Very easy to clean.

Supplies I Recommend
Ink Syringe for cleaning
Glass dropper for moving ink
Small glass container for filling fountain pens (depending on the size of your ink bottle you may/may not be able to fill directly from the bottle)
Cortado glasses for cleaning (or a larger size glass - glass is easier to clean ink out of)
Plastic reusable gloves (help keep ink off your hands when refilling pens)
